Ork Posters is the home of the typographic city neighborhood map style seen here. Graphic designer and owner of Ork Posters, Jenny Beorkrem, first created this map style in 2007 when she designed a Chicago map for herself. She’s continued to her expand her line of cities and maps and has since sold over 200,000 maps to city-dwellers around the world.
Throughout the years, Ork Posters has remained committed to leaving as little impact on the environment as possible when making and packaging their products. It selects 100% post consumer waste or recycled paper whenever possible and uses only non-toxic inks during production. It is also committed to the highest quality of print methods, using offset lithography and silkscreen printing. The silkscreen prints are made in-house and the offset printed posters are made at an eco-friendly, worker-owned press local to Ork Posters in Chicago.
